Subud North America (SNA) was formed in 1959 between Canada, Mexico and the United States. In 1960 it was incorporated in the State of Colorado. SNA was originally governed by a council of about 20 members from these countries until 1969.
In 1970, when Bapak visited Skymont he suggested that SNA be separated and the Articles of Incorporation were amended from SNA to Subud USA. Subud USA and Canada then becoming Zone 7 with Mexico and then Suriname being added in 1997 and 2005, respectively.
