Registration is now open for this year's Regional Congress, which will be jointly hosted over Memorial Day weekend at the Walker Center in Auburndale, Massachusetts by SEC and Subud Boston.

For over 140 years, the Walker Center has provided a place of hospitality for non-profit and faith-based organizations to host trainings, conferences and retreats. Our weekend will be a nice mix of work and play, with plenty of time for testing, as well as time for selecting a new SEC Committee. We have chosen The Walker Center because of its easily accessible location (a six-minute walk from the Riverside Station on the "green" line) for members of our region, its many amenities and the very low cost.The facility has received good reviews from visitors on its food and accommodation. Sleeping accommodations are varied, with rooms in the main lodge as well as in one of several cottages on the property that include kitchens and living areas.

Room rates are $45 per person per day,based on double occupancy, which includes breakfast. A very limited number of private rooms will be available at a rate of $70 per day. Lunch and dinner are available a la carte for $12 and $14 respectively. In addition, a full child/youth program has been planned.

THE THIRD AMERICAS GATHERING will be hosted this summer at Amanecer, Colombia, where members from everywhere, especially North and South America, can come together and share their experiences and aims specific to their continents. Mariamah, Machrus, and Elisa, Zone 7, 8, and 9 Representatives, invite everyone to attend.

Being an international gathering that is using one of our international Subud Centers and being in South America creates a special opportunity for those who are able to come. It will be a space to host the kedjiwaan, to share experiences of the latihan in our daily lives, to work to improve our organization, to prepare for our next World Congress, to unite our cultures so we can be together as one family. We’d like to encourage folks to seize this moment and experience the wonderful hospitality of our Colombian brothers and sisters.

To make your flight reservations you can arrive at El Edén airport in Armenia via Bogota. It is possible this will involve an overnight stay in Bogota. You can also fly to Cali which, though further away, is accessible by a lovely three hour bus ride along the Pan American highway. Taxis and buses to Amanecer are very reasonable and detailed information will be sent to those booking.

The arrival date will be July 25th and departure date August 5th. The Gathering will begin on July 26th with a kedjiwaan day and from July 27th on we will enjoy the general program. Also the World Subud Council will meet with the main topic being the content and organization of the next world congress. Some meetings will be open to all participants. In the days prior to the gathering the Zonal Councils for Zones 7 and 8 will meet. SDIA, MSF, SICA and SIHA will also be having meetings as well as making presentations and organizing workshops.
