Marston Gregory & Bau-biologie

Bau-Biologists like Marston are certified by the International Institute for Bau-biologie in Clearwater, Florida.
http://www.bau-biologieusa.com/
He has had considerable experience evaluating the "health" of buildings, and advising solutions.

Building Biology - The Philosophy:
~ is not a look back on a seemingly ideal past, but the vision of a future worth living.
~ is not primitive improvisation, but outstanding and responsible innovation based on aesthetic principles.
~ is not formalism, but takes nature as its role model. (Nature also features an abundance of shapes and colors.)
~ does not limit itself to advantages of individual occupants, but also shows consideration for fellow humans and the environment as a whole.
~ is not just about reducing the toxicity of individual building materials, but calls for a total approach to a healthy living environment.
~ is not an additional luxury item for only a few, but will form the foundation of future building activities worldwide.
~ is not too expensive, but includes the real costs up front, which in conventional building methods are passed on to the general public, the next generation and the environment.

Marston, in addition, has had extensive experience with Subud houses, managed Hope St Hall (LA) for 6 years, involving remodeling. He also consulted with Subud NY when they were setting up the Chelsea Center (the NY Subud house), and is currently one of the driving forces for the last three years in remodeling the Subud Seattle house into a fine example of a "green" building.

Sharif Haris & green building

Sharif joined several planning meetings for the first straw bale Church, which is just now being completed. He has taken a 10 day course on Permaculture and a 3 day refresher recently.  He also recently attended a 1 day workshop on Bau-biologie.

While in San Diego he was instrumental in creating a 4 day seminar on multiple aspects of green building including water purification, Organic and permaculture farming, straw bale & other green building methods, starting with a half day intensive in social community building. They were sponsored by the western regional director of Habitat for Humanity, who later hired many of their presenters to come and present at a meeting of approx 500 Habitat leaders from around the planet, where he helped CASBA build a 4 walled room demonstrating 4 different ways to build walls of straw.
