STARTING
CENTER, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL HELPERS - There will be a Kejiwaan Day for Regional helpers in the morning and for all helpers in the afternoon on June 29th. Regional helpers, please consider flying in June 28th evening and local helpers consider flying in June 29th morning. DELEGATES - Your congress starts the evening of June 29th at 7pm with a special Delegate Training/Planning Meeting: consider flying in June 29th afternoon. ALL MEMBERS – Group latihan late June 29th night and a full Kejiwaan day on June 30th for all members including the delegates before the opening of the congress! After dinner, we slide happily into an interesting sharing of business experience with a surprise presentation and an entertainment night on June 30th evening! Consider flying in on June 29th afternoon. |
FINISHING
The official congress business ends late day July 3rd (with a national board meeting that evening for the new and old Subud USA national council along with a group latihan). BUT- why leave? JULY 4th MORNING there will be latihan and helpers are available if anyone wants to test any personal questions or related to their new Subud positions. There will be probably a Wings Meeting. FOR FUN in the afternoon and evening: Nearby is the big Ft Vancouver July 4th festival, and that evening is one of the west coasts largest and most fabulous FIREWORKS displays! |

CONGRESS PROGRAM
Our congress program is, as usual, going to be full of something for everyone! Of course, there will be lots of Latihan: each day begins and ends with those large latihans that are only found at congresses! There will be ample opportunity for personal conversation, and testing as well. The delegates (and other interested folks) will be busy with the business of Subud USA. We will be doing the important job of selecting the new national committee and wing chairs for the next two years. There will be workshops involving the fascinating topics of the wings...social service projects, the arts, music, enterprise and talent development, caring for our elders, outreach. |
Entertainment - you bet! What is a congress without the fun of sharing all the wonderful talents of the members! Plan to bring your dancing shoes! YOUR PARTICIPATION IS INVITED! As they say, "the future is formed by those who show up." The national committee invites your input for our congress program! Workshop leaders, entertainers, artists, experts, thinkers and planners...participate! What is Congress TV? Here is what Hamilton has
to say:
When I found out that during the Congress in Austria there was going to be
live video production happening around the clock, I thanked the Universe.
Finally here was an opportunity to speak and share freely about Subud, about my
spirituality and about the ever-growing questions that arise in me and I’m sure,
in all of us. Here was a chance to approach the few dogmatic walls still
standing in Subud and confront them in an open and honest forum.
There we were, being asked to question, being asked to speak up, to have a
voice. Congress TV was born and grew and flourished in its own organic beauty as
I think Subud should. As all things should. As we do. Subud is changing with the
new generation aka "your kids" and Congress TV will be there to help us reflect,
understand and laugh at the complexity of human evolution and Spirituality.
Please join us at the 2006 SUBUD US National Congress AND MAKE A MOVIE!

More details:
Youth will be filming and editing their own videos, to be shown to everyone
interested in the evenings after dinner. At Innsbruck this was a
standing-room-only audience every night. We will keep the equipment in a secure
room and Hamilton will oversee the project and facilitate the video
productions.
We have: the use of two video cameras, and two computers with video editing
software on them. Sebastian Tedrow is bringing a good projector system that we
can use to show the films at night.
We need:
1. more small digital video cameras
2. fire wire cords
3. mics with mini jacs (amap)
4. computers with editing software like Imovie or FCP
5. a power strip for more outlets
6. more people to help Hamilton oversee the project (Haris Wolfgang is
already helping - thanks Haris!)
