CHILD CARE AND YOUTH PROGRAM
The cost for the child and teen program is $10 per day
for each child 2 - 16. The program will
run in the mornings and afternoons (lunch will be with parents). We will have the children's area set up in a
place somewhere near the congress activities and the accommodations, so that
parents can arrange co-op babysitting in the children's room at night.
For younger children there will be fun creative
activities at the hotel and in the adjacent Esther Short Park, with such
outdoor attractions as interactive water fountains and indoors crafts, stories
and other activities.
For older children there will be field trips, and
for the
teens there will be all-day trips to places like Mount St. Helens and perhaps
for water sports on the Columbia river or at an aquatic park. We will be
looking for adults to chaperone these outings for the older children, to
chaperone some other activities for teens, as well as looking for teens and
parents who would like to help take care of the younger children as paid
caregivers (paid at $20 per morning or afternoon session, maximum 10 children,
activities provided).
We will send more information about Child Care & Youth activities to
registrants.
We will have a wonderful Pacific Northwest time!
