SUBUD CALIFORNIA

Kejiwaan Congress

May 23 – 26, 2008

From the Congress Committee

Welcome to the upcoming California Kejiwaan Congress at the beautiful Asilomar State Park Conference Center!  The convergence of redwood trees, ocean breeze, and serene environment offers us the space to develop friendships, share in the arts, and have lots of fun.  This year is a Kejiwaan Congress and the focus will be on latihan and Kejiwaan activities.  This year is also the 50th anniversary of Subud coming to California and a special celebration will be observed.

After much searching, the Congress Committee and Regional Dewan selected Asilomar for its many wonderful features.  We recognize, however, that coastal venues are not inexpensive.  In an effort to keep this Congress more affordable and to encourage families to attend, the youth registration fee is waived and the adult registration fee is reduced for registrations by March 21.  Our desire is for many of our members to attend and enjoy this wonderful opportunity.  We ask members who are able, to help others attend by donating to the Assistance Fund.
Those who need assistance are invited to apply - email SubudCongress@aol.com or call Raina Snyder at 408-329-3261.

Asilomar would not negotiate a “2 day stay package” due to the high demand for their facilities over a holiday weekend.  In addition to the three day package, members may attend as day use visitors for a daily registration fee and meal fees.  We need to give Asilomar our estimated head count by March 22, so please register by then to guarantee a room and for day visitors to estimate meal and meeting room requirements.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Congress,
Philip Lindstrom, Raina Snyder, Roanna Clark

Stay on Hwy 68 West/Holman Hwy until it becomes Forest Ave. Continue on Forest Ave for 1 mile and make a left turn onto Sinex Ave. In just under 1 mile, Sinex Ave ends at the front gates to Asilomar.
